I was looking at a u tube video when all of a sudden when I tried to click the video off, the cursor started creating a circle around it and was moving all over and before I knew it, the google home page has shrunk down to a very small size all of the google eg web, video, etc details are in very small thumbnail rows on the left top of the screen and my tool bar is completely gone

Try clearing your cache that may well solve the problems on web content.

To get the tool bars back use Alt or F10 in your keyboard, then View -> Toolbars

  • you will probably be able to just click on the relevant toolbar option such as the navigation toolbar to get it back
  • if that fails you may need to consider the customise, and either drag items back, or restore the defaults

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

Thank you cor-el who posted an answer to my above problem with Mozilla Firefox However can you give me a little more help please? Using the f10 key does bring back the tool bar back but it will not stay permanently and also not all of the tool bar is present eg the refresh or undo icon or the go forward or back icon are not there at allThank you

May I suggest you re read what I said earlier, and then ask about problems if you try those proposals

e.g. after you have pressed f10 and you can see the 'file menu' toolbar which includes drop down menus 'File', 'Edit' 'View' ... 'Help' ; are you able to click on the drop down menu 'View' ?

Can you next click on the 'Toolbars' option, and select 'menu bar' so that it displays a tick or check symbol, if you can the menubar etc may display next time you restart.
