Firefox remembers my username & password but, my password has changed and I can't get Firefox to release the old password so, how do I get Firfox to recognize my new password and not continue using my older password

I use Firefox to log into BlackBoard to contact my students. Blackboard requires us to log in using a username and password. I have set this web page as my home page so when I launch Firefox, I am presented with the Blackboard login screen which displays my username and passwords as dots. I have recently changed my password and can't get Firefox to release the old password. Yes I have tries deleting cookies and everything else. Solution please .....

Just type the new password to replace the dots, Firefox should ask you if you want the new password saved. If it doesn't help try the instructions at https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Remembering%20passwords#w_viewing-and-deleting-passwords
