Firefox 4 hangs on startup on my new MacBook Pro. How do I find a version that will launch?

I have down loaded Firefox 4 five times today. I click on the icon. It starts to come up but hangs each time. No browser window ever appears, but Firefox shows in the "Force Quit" window aass "not responding".

A restart of my computer solved the problem.

same for me, but restarting our computers is not really a solution for a chronic flaw. issues with plugin-container.exe, visible in Task Manager (in XP) seem to be the cause - about:config hacks claim to solve this problem, but didn't work for me, so i'm back, temporarily i hope, to FF 3.6.

otherwise, FF 4 was brilliant - so i sure hope they get this hanging-on-shutdown glitch patched asap.
