Moving 4.0 icon to app folder > says "replace newer with this old file?" Why is 4.0 old?

I downloaded the new 4.0 upgrade. Now when I try to move the icon into the app folder, as instructed, I get a message stating that the 4.0 is "older" and would I like to replace the "newer" item in my folder. Seems strange, since this is the latest upgrade.

Firefox 3.6.16 has a later internal file date than Firefox 4.0 has. Mozilla continues to support older versions after a new version is released.

Currently, Firefox 3.5.x, 3.6.x, and Firefox 4.0 are supported with security updates.

Okay, so that means I can overwrite the newer file with the downloaded 4.0 file?
