After the most recent update, the File, New Tab command does not work; nor does clicking on the plus sign for a new tab. Help?

The most recent update of Firefox installed yesterday. Ever since, I haven't been able to manually open new tabs using the plus sign in the tabs or the File, New Tab command.

I fixed this problem by uninstalling the Ask Toolbar. Go to Windows Control Panel and uninstall program.

I found the Ask.com program listed as a Foxit toolbar. I deleted it and my tabbing function came back immediately. In the Windows uninstaller, look for Ask.com in the publisher column rather than in the program name column.
