I am unable to open PDFs in Firefox. I am running the most recent Adobe Reader on my computer. Also have Acrobat 6.0 installed.

When I try to open a PDF file on a website I get this message:

The Adobe Acrobat Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Please exit your browser and Adobe Acrobat Reader and try again.

I have tried this but it does not resolve the problem.

Okay, I figured out the solution to my problem!! I went to "tools>options>applications" and then clicked on each PDF item in the menu. I then changed the setting for all PDFs to Acrobat 6. Voila!! Worked like a charm.
