Bookmarks toolbar appears during mouseover but is blank and I can't interact with it
My Bookmarks toolbar was set to appear during mouseover and now it doesn't respond to input. When I mouseover, it appears but doesn't let me interact with it- and no links appear, it is blank. I can right-click and get a menu (to try and access properties) but as soon as the mouse leaves the toolbar area, it disappears- but the menu remains. Nothing I click in the menu has any effect. I have had to disable the toolbar entirely. How can I fix this?
My bookmarks toolbar is completely hosed and useless. If I don't turn it off, every time my mouse moves to the top of the page the (blank) toolbar appears and I have no way to interact with it.

No suggestions at all? How about advice for resetting the behavior of the Bookmarks toolbar to default? Do I need to reinstall? Anyone? Bueller?
Right click on toolbar space >customize>If the Bookmarks Toolbar space isn't showing"Bookmark Toolbar Items" look into the Customize icons box for that and drag it to the Bookmarks Toolbar. Click done.
Please report back.

* Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button
Thank you for the response. That helps, because after restoring the defaults I was able to get the "Bookmarks toolbar items" back to the appropriate spot. So now I can get the Bookmarks toolbar to work again. But it only lasts until I close Firefox. When I launch again, the problem is back. I have found that if I drag the "Bookmarks toolbar items" to a functioning toolbar (in this case the Stumbleupon toolbar) the icons will appear and they will come back after closing and relaunching Firefox. But this doesn't address the problem with my bookmarks toolbar- but it does give me similar functionality, so thank you.
But how do I fix my Bookmarks toolbar? If I could just get the darn thing to just stay there instead of only appearing during mouseover I'd be making progress.
