my home page has slipped down and I am unable to access the top lines for tools etc.
the top of my home page begins with firefox and the home page bars. O n my previous internet explorer page above that was the tools bars etc.The page appears to have cut off the top few lines of the page

Hit the orange Firefox button, then open the Options menu in the right column, click on Menu Bar to select that menu item and show the Menu Bar.

i did not feel that answered the question-what do you do once you are in the menu to shift the page up?
You can right click the orange Firefox button to open the toolbar context menu or use (F10) View > Toolbars.
- Click the Menu Bar entry to make the Menu Bar visible all the time.
- Click "Tabs on Top" to remove the check mark and place the Tab Bar at its original position just above the browser window.

When I right click on firefox button it does not show the menu or anything else other than what appears on left click-also I have lost the facility to go back and forth in pages of websites.
Can you attach a screenshot of your current setup?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
