Popup windows in Firefox 4 is showing two title bars. If the popup window has a close button or link in it, it does not work. If a popup window was designed to auto-close itself, it isn't happening, and the window remains on the screen with an empty content area.

It was not a clean installation of Firefox 4, I upgraded from Firefox 3. I have some of the popular add-ons installed in my Firefox installation. All are up-to-date. Disabling some add-ons (eg. Shareaholic) solved the problem temporarily, but when I installed other new plug-ins the problem showed up again. Try the Firefox SafeMode.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)

  1. You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  2. Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.
