IE 9 was causing me recent problems with Google search and Gmail. I downloaded Firefox as default browser and can't figure out how to access my g-mail account from Firefox. I was hoping it would be listed as a tab at the top of the page.

To add a little tab for gmail that automatically opens with your browser:

  1. go to gmail.com
  2. right click on the tab, and select 'pin as ap tab'

To add a little button for gmail on your bookmarks bar instead:

  1. Make sure your bookmarks bar is open by right clicking on any menu bar area that the top of your screen. You should see a little black check mark next to bookmarks tool bar. If you do not, click on it and that will turn it on.
  2. Go to gmail.com
  3. Click on the tab and hold down. Drag it to the bookmarks tool bar and let go of the mouse.
