Using iMac with Roboform and Safari and Roboform did save the password for PayPal. I would go to the PayPal site and Roboform filled it in. I am just starting with Firefox and I went to the PayPal site but the password is not saved and no Remember Password message comes up. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks for the help, but I should have mentioned that I read both of those articles carefully and did what they suggested. I also forgot to mention that my password system seems set up and running, because other passwords work. It's just this PayPal password. It does work with Roboform, so I think it isn't the problem that PayPal is blocking it or it would block it with Roboform too. So I'm not sure what is going on. Thanks, and sorry for leaving out critical info.

Delete the Username & Passwords of the Websites on which you are having problems.

Deleting Passwords

-> Restart Firefox

Now again make sure that Firefox is set to Remember Passwords in Firefox Options.

  • Go to the website (Paypal) -> Enter Username & Password -> When a prompt to save Username & Password appears, click Remember Password button

Check and tell if its working.

Thank you again. The problem is that PayPal doesn't appear in the list of passwords. I'm not sure why. When I went to delete it, it's not there. The others are there but not that one. And the prompt to Remember Password does not appear either.

-> Close Firefox (click Firefox button and click Exit)

-> Start Firefox in Safe Mode

Now check if Paypal is appearing in the Passwords list while you in Firefox Safe Mode. IF it does, then repeat the process in my 2nd reply.

Check and tell if its working.

Started up Firefox in Safe Mode. Looked in the Saved Passwords and PayPal is not there. Did another run through with PayPal in Firefox during Safe Mode -- opened it and entered password (Firefox does enter my PayPal userID) but still no Remember Password option. I wouldn't care about this except that I use PayPal all the the time and hesitate using Firefox as my default browser if I can't get this part automated. But, from another level, it's no big deal. I think it must have something to do with PayPal security, but I'm not sure why Roboform would work in spite of any such security. Thanks.
