I do NOT want to download Yahoo with Firefox but it always downloads with YAHOO as the homepage......and I do NOT want this!!!
The details is that i was using Firefox by itself.....with no homepage of any kind. Then my Son downloaded YAHOO without my permission. I have deleted it off Add and Remove and I have gone through my C drive and there is no Yahoo listed anywhere. The ONLY way I can get yahoo off my computer is to completely delete Mozilla Firefox. With Yahoo on the screen......I cannot get to ANY of my favorites that I had previously marked with Mozilla.

Try this one:
TOOLS then OPTIONS then in GENERAL TAB at Start up in session WHEN FIREFOX STARTS put SHOW A BLANK PAGE. Don' t forget to click OK to save changes. Look if this solve the problem.
thank you
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I'm having trouble getting rid of Yahoo too. I made the mistake of updating Yahoo Messenger recently as I had to get some information I had trouble getting another way, and now Yahoo is all over my computer! I want the Yahoo menu and toolbar and every other insidious Yahoo related thing gone from this browser. Any newer suggestions would be appreciated.
I have the same problem with Yahoo. It is slowing down my browsing and my computing in general. Some please tell us how to get rid of the Yahoo toolbar!!!
I need yahoo->>>We are out of USA
This is a classic example of what's wrong with open source software. Here we have a problem that over 80 people have reported, but there is no response from Mozilla about how to fix it and the other responses are mostly complaints about the same problem.
The first two answers were from regular helpers in this forum, so Mozulla is represented by experienced users helping other users. The main reason there is no conclusion for the "owner" of this thread is that soniaweidanz the "owner" of this thread never returned with follow-up answers as to what the problem was or with follow-up information.
After the 2nd answer by cor-el the rest of the postings are "me too's" which don't help the "owner" and provide no further for anyone to be able to help them.
If users aren't dealing from a full deck, we can't help them if they don't even tell us which cards they are missing.
