In order to protect my eyes, I would like to do the same as I did in IE, to change the background co lour of my webpage into light green, and ignore colors specified on web pages, but in fire fox I can not find this icon in tools setting.

You can use the NoSquint extension to set font sizes (text/page zoom) and text colors on web pages.
