adobe flash player cannot install with firefox operating - please help

Adobe tells me it cannot install their Flash Player while Firefox is not closed. Please tell me how to comply. Thanks.

File > Exit or orange Firefox button > Exit

Then check the Windows Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure firefox.exe isn't running.
