How do I know if a website(like bank) is secured - usually shows lock

I just want to know when I go on a bank that has a secured site - usually it shows a lock somewhere on the sign in page. I cannot find it on mozilla's. I know https is a secured sign but I feel more secure using mozilla if I see a lock or someother sign that lets me know it is secured.

So I believe would most people, banks, and most standards committees, but here is what you will see documented for Firefox.
