I am running 9.0.1 version of Firefox and now I can't play movies in Netflix. They will play when I am on Safari. On Firefox, when I get to the "play" in Netflixt, it says download the latest Silverlight, so I do, then NOTHING.????
I have streamed with Netflix on Firefox for a long time. I just prefer this browser over Safari. Last night I was told on the Netflix sight that I needed to upgrade my Silverlight plugin, so I did. Now it won't play on Firefox, but plays fine on Safari.

Your User Agent shows that you are using latest version of Silverlight plugin.
Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
- Clear Cookies & Cache
- Clear the Network Cache
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
Check and tell if its working.
Try to run Firefox temporarily in 32 bit mode to see if that helps.
- Close Firefox
- Start the Finder and open the Applications folder
- Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
- Select "Get Info"
- Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
- Close the "Firefox Info" window
- Restart Firefox
I did as both of you suggested and this is the message I got on Netflix:
Connection Problem
Error Code N8106-102
Unable to connect to the Netflix Service. Please try again later.
Troubleshooting: Check your internet and home network connections and try again.
PS I can still stream on Safari, so I still don't know what wrong with my Firefox connection. Any more suggestions???

-> Firefox Connection Settings
Check and tell if its working.
Thank you! You Rock!!!!!!
I have the same problem. Netflix/Silverlight works in Safari, but not my preferred browser Firefox. I am using FF 9.0.1. Silverlight does not work in FF in my primary user acct. However, I set up a secondary test acct, and Netflix/Silverlight works fine.
So there has to be a settings problem somewhere in my FF primary acct. None of the solutions above work for me.
I have been in contact with MS Silverlight, and with AppleCare, and the problem inevitably redounds to FF.
@GeorgeNJ -> Have you tried the suggestions mentioned by Cor-el above ??
- If not, then do so.
-> Update Firefox to the latest version 10
Check and tell if its working.
