When I minimize Firefox 8.0.1 to work in my windows 7 computer it won't stay minimized but about 30seconds then it maximizes all by itself without any intervention from me. I minimize it and it starts all over again. Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks in advance Pete

My guess is that something on the page that is showing is refreshing regularly (like advertisements or a moving article menu listing) and that is what is bringing up Firefox from the Task Bar. To verify it, open a Tab that is blank - about:blank - and minimize Firefox, then see if Firefox stays minimized.

Tried the About:Blank and that solved my problem. I use weather underground and another active web site as my home pages and I leave these tab's open, I guess they update quite regularly. Thanks to all for the help.
