I have a duplicate firefox window pop up everytime I go to a new tab. I can't seem to get rid of it. How can I get it to stop?

Every time I open a new tab, the page I am looking for comes up, then right on top of it another fire fox window pops up with the search bar and a blank page. I do not know what I have done to make the happen. I hope someone can help me. Thanks Linda

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
