My fire fox has homepage of Aol. I have no buttons to close browser or minimize. The only thing I know is I found out it is Aol edition for firefox. How do I go back to my regular version. I have tried going to previous version and it goes right back to Aol version. To get off I have to use control, alt delete keys. Help. I have windows 7. Thanks Monya

Hi mspenshchi,

It sounds like there are a few things going on here. First, have you tried hitting F11 or moving the mouse to the upper right hand corner of the screen to take Firefox out of Fullscreen Mode?

As for your issue with AOL, are you sure it hasn't just been set as your homepage? If so, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article How to set the home page. Your homepage might have been changed by a particular site. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.

There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.

If that doesn't work you should look at the article How to fix preferences that won't save. I would also check to make sure that you don't have an AOL toolbar installed. You can check by going to Tools > Add-ons. If you do have one, I'd remove it.

Hopefully this helps!
