Starting with 6.0 version (Linux i686 binary), Firefox crashes with "Illegal Instruction" on i586 CPUs (AMD K6-II). Are there or can you build Linux binaries for i586? Thank you!

As far as I know, there aren't any plans to support AMD K6-II. I don't know what would be required to produce binaries for i586 but our build system is documented on our developer network - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Build_Documentation

Thanks for your reply, Verdi. Could this be because new versions are built with gcc-4.5 not gcc-4.3 like before and I have gcc-4.4?
