When I open Firefox, a Firefox information box appears with information box about some Firefox feature or new download. Messages change each time. There is no 'x' to close this box and therefore no choice but to click on link whether I want to or not.

My settings are to start Firefox with "show my home page" and Home Page is set to www.google.com. But the Firefox information box appears on top of the homepage and blocks access to the homepage.

How do I disable this so Firefox will open to home page without showing the information box?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
