None of my tab will work, nor can I close just one. In addition, no links in any page close to the top will work. This effectively renders my firefox useless. My explored broser does not have the problem. In addition when I do get something going firefox refuses to allow the page to switch to a new page

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.
