The new tab page (like Chrome) showed up this morning, but the visual quality is really poor. Fuzzy, no crispness, hard to read the icons.

What settings must I change before this feature is tolerable?

I'll pass that feedback on to developers. There aren't any settings that will affect the quality of the images though. Here's an article about customizing or turning the feature off - Customize your Firefox New Tab page

Thank you, Verdi. I'll do that. It is not a feature I cared about with Chrome, but at least there it worked well! Much appreciate the quick answer.
