How do I open bookmarks in background tabs and warn me when closing multiple tabs not working

I'm thinking of how if I ctrl+leftclick or middle click on any link, it opens in a new tab at the end (one of my add-ons is New Tabs at the End) and does not switch to it. What do I need to do to get that effect with my bookmarks menu, be it individual bookmarks or Open All In Tabs? In Options/Tabs, I do not have "When I open a link in a new tab switch to it immediately" selected.

Also, in Options/Tabs, I have "Warn me when closing multiple tabs" selected, but I can have two or twenty tabs open and I don't get that warning when closing Firefox

Hi,

You can try to set browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground to true in about:config.

about:config Entries

Please also see the Note: here regarding Warn me when closing multiple tabs.

Thanx for your reply! Changing that about:config setting didn't have an apparent effect, but the other link answered my tabs question :-)
