To do the other solutions - you can disable the firefox button by right-clicking an empty space on the toolbar and turning on the "Menu Bar" toolbar. This gives you the old-style toolbars, and can be disabled the same way.

hello phanny, go to view > toolbars & disable the menu bar. this should bring back the firefox button when it's hidden because of the menu bar...
