Firefox passes me to bablon search engine even though I have deleted this from search engines. I wish to have Google as my search engine

I have removed Bablon from search engine list in manager but Firefox continues to use it as a default search engine

Is that with searching via the location bar or via the (Google) search bar on the Navigation Toolbar?

Try to reset some preferences to the default with the SearchReset extension:

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the about:addons page.

You can also try to delete the search.sqlite and search.json files in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Another easy fix to remove Babylon is just to Reset Firefox (if the search Reset doesn't work).

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

If the above suggestions don't work, you might want to try running Malwarebytes and/or Spybot Search & Destroy. Babylon search is seen as a PUP (potentially unwanted program) or as adware by those programs, and should get rid of it for you. I had that one before, and the MyWebSearch one, and those progs got rid of it for me. :-)
