I'm at an article from the main page at yahoo. I scroll to the bottom and enter a comment about the article. Since I'm not logged in I am asked to login. I select Yahoo as my login. It opens a small dialog box for me to enter my username and password. The dialog box immediately goes behind my main window. I then have to reduce the main window to get to the dialog box. This just started after updating Firefox a short time ago. I screwed with the tabs, that I don't like using, but the problem still exists. I am using 16.0.2 version of Firefox. Also when I click on a link it should open a new page which it does but the new page also goes behind the original or primary page. This never occurred in previous versions of your software.

Don't you have a QA department looking at this stuff before you release new versions? I work as a QA Engineer for another software company from home and we test everything. I also think it's lousy that this is the only way to get a problem resolved from your company. Spend some money and allow people to email their problems. I'm sure you're making tons of money.

Can you not move the box so that it is to one side of the browser main window?

It pops up over the main page then disappears completely behind the main page. I'm not that fast to move it to the side. All I know is this didn't happen with the older version of firefox.

It's pretty pathetic that no one from Mozilla can monitor and answer these questions. I will no longer take updates for Firefox on my computer that's for damn sure.

Are there any plugins running (i.e. the plugin-container process is active) in that window when it happens or tabs that reload automatically?

I've uninstalled Firefox 16.0 and installed version 15. This did not help the initial problem. After uninstall, which also cleared personal info and all items related to Firefox, I restarted my computer. I then installed the older version and imported my bookmarks from a JSON file.

I have the following plug-ins running:

Adblock Plus

Personas

AVG Security Toolbar which is disabled.

The settings for the Tabs are as follows:

Open New Window in a New Tab - Unchecked

Warn Me when closing multiple tabs - Unchecked

Warn me when opening multiple Tabs may slow down Firefox - Checked

Always show the tab bar - Checked

Don't load tabs until selected - Checked

When I open a link in a new tab switch to it immediately - Checked

Show tab previews in the windows taskbar - Unchecked
