I have the Yahoo button appearing between the Bookmarks and Tools button. I removed the Yahoo.xml file but the button is still showing up on a FF re-start.

Inadvertent install but there it is. Thnx

To get rid of Yahoo in the Menu Bar, try this:

  1. type about:config in the Location/URL bar and press the Enter key
  2. if you see a warning, accept it (promise to be careful)
  3. Search space on the about:config page, type yahoo.ytff.options
  4. if you see an item in the lower panel yahoo.ytff.options.menubar, the value column will be true
  5. double-click that item to toggle the value column to false or right-click that item and choose "Toggle" to toggle the value column to false
  6. close the about:config tab
  7. you may need to restart Firefox to see the change.
