Hi John!

I'm trying to understand what's the problem here but I'm not sure if I understand your problem properly. Is your problem that the bookmark's in the toolbar are opening a different site when you click on them?

Bookmarks are supposed to be your favorite sites and they don't update in the toolbar, unless you are using a toolbar that is not standard. If you could give us more details we may be able to figure out.

Let me recommend you an article about the bookmarks toolbar so we can share the terminology: Bookmarks Toolbar - Display your favorite websites at the top of the Firefox window

If you get an older (outdated) page then you may be using a bookmark that has GET (URL with ?xxx=xxx) or POST data from a (hidden) form saved with it and in such a case you can get an older page from the server and not the current version.

It is always best to be cautious when you bookmark a page that has required specific steps to reach like filling a form.

Hello Ibai, Thank you for your prompt reply and good wishes On my bookmark toolbar in Mozilla, I have an icon named Azay which takes me to a website "crostontwinning.co.uk" which I edit and update. Whenever I update the website and then click on the "Azay" icon, I expect to be taken to the updated website, but unfortunately I arrive at the "crostontwinning.co.uk" as it was before I updated it, no matter how long I wait or how many times I click the icon. The only way I can access my updated pages is to search for and re-enter the website address again via google or yahoo etc, which really makes the icon ineffective as a means of a rapid access to the site. In Windows Explorer however, I have the same icon on my "favourites" toolbar which, when clicked, shows my updated website instantly without having to re-enter the web address again. I hope that this outlines the difficulty more clearly but please contact me further if not Happy New Year John

Hello cor-el I think that you may be leading me in the right direction. My bookmark points me to page3 of the website instead of index html and when clicked, I arrive at page 3. When I then click on "home" ( i.e. index html) from here, I always get an old version of the page, and not the most recent. Perhaps all will be well if I change my bookmark to go straight to the index page. John
