I am unable to open links to pdf files eg: http://shopbonton.com/a/hBQ5C9UB8PILmB8v9I0Nsi65l6U/coupon
I receive emails that have links to pdf documents, and Firefox on my imac does not open the links. This is true of this one: http://shopbonton.com/a/hBQ5C9UB8PILmB8v9I0Nsi65l6U/coupon and other links such as utility billing statements etc. I believe that I must have something set incorrectly, because the computer does not respond to the link at all.

thank you
Neither of the suggestions has helped. I am still missing something. The browser just sits idle.
go to the Firefox Plugins and disable the Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in
thanks again

Disable the Adobe Reader plugin in Firefox (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) and use the external Adobe Reader application or Preview application instead.
- Firefox > Preferences > Applications > Adobe PDF document : Use Adobe Reader
PDF files may also be found under another entry like Portable document.
I have made the changes recommended (use external Adobe Reader), and am able to open many of the files that I was previously unable to read. However, the specific URL referenced in my complaint still fails to open. It seems that the browser does not even attempt to find the url.
