Why does my computer crash still when closing tabs? I've disabled Java, removed it, removed Mozilla, reinstalled, started at safe point. Nothing is helping!

So I would close tab and saw the box pop up sending crash report to you. It did, so I went to your site & saw the Java info so I disabled. Well it still did the same thing, so I removed Java..nothing changed, so I removed Firefox & reinstalled, nothing changed. So I went back to safe point, I was fine, but I had a ton of ads so I went to my add-ons & couldn't access...(I LOVE ADD-BLOCKER) Anyhow I looked and the mozilla ff was the version before 18. think it was 17. idk, so what's wrong? please help

Do you have Norton Confidential installed on your computer?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more crash reports that have this format:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.

  • You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.
