I have just reinstall my Mac Mini (OSX 18.6).

I have reinstalled all of my normal things CS4, Chrome, Firefox, Office 2008 etc.

When I run FF the whole browser looks like an old tv the whole view port is skewed to 45 degrees and the tab looks like a image on the web that hasn't loaded correctly. I do have a screen grab but nowhere to upload it!)

Thanks!

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

HI iamjayakumars

Tried the reset, but it didn't help

I have since uninstalled and put FF17 on and it seems to be working fine for now!

Screen grab of the error attached!

Thanks

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

HI Cor-el

I have reinstalled FF18 and turned of the Hardware acceleration and it seems OK now, I didn't have any addons or themes so that wasn't the issue!

Bad hardware acceleration, bad!

Thanks!
