when trying to watch a video on youtube and other sites it will play but all u see is a green screen....why is this?

A green screen usually means the the player failed to create a proper video overlay wind and that you only see the green place holder.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
