Why is it that every time I update Firefox, something bad happens? Anyway, after updating to 20.0.1, Firefox has been displaying oddly on the Windows taskbar. It is displaying a generic icon rather than the Firefox icon, and only the number of windows open is shown (i.e., where normally it would say "X (number of windows) - Mozilla Firefox" it now just says "X"). When I opened Windows Task Manager, firefox.exe is also not identified as being Mozilla Firefox, and when I rightclick and select Properties, it says "Cannot find C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updated\firefox.exe." Also, when I ran Firefox for the first time after the update, Comodo Defense+ kept popping up asking me if I wanted to allow Firefox to do various things, which doesn't normally happen after an update. What is going on, and how do I fix it?

If there are problems with updating Firefox then the most likely cause is security software that isn't playing well and is either using or otherwise protecting files against changes.
