When i close tabs, it says there are more tabs open than i have opened
For example if i have 5 tabs open and i try to close them, it asks me if i want to close all 6 tabs (not 5). It always is +1 tab more than opened. Why is that?

Thanks for your answers. I think i nailed it. There was this program Yandex, i deleted it, but when i used to open new tabs there was Yandex in new tab page,so i deleted it thoroughly again and i think that solved my problem. Thanks again

Your page can only show a certain number of tabs. Close them one by one and the others will begin to show. That's been my experience. D.
Do you have a second Window open perhaps?
Can you use Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+8 to go to a possibly 'hidden' tab?
Do you have pinned tabs?

I had the same problem, but realized that I had a group tab open. I deleted it as I had whoopsied.
