When I put a word of any word in the url search window, when a page a comes up there is a bing search square at the top of that first page above any of the first page of results. And please understand, I am not talking about any tool bar etc.

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

The reason may be any installed add-on, or any adware program. Check Your Add-ons directory. If You found any add-ons related to Bing Search bar. Remove it.

Check Your Control panel also. If You found any adware program related to Bing Search bar, You can Remove that also.
