The above error message appears and until I click on it an make it go away, I can do nothing. I get into a mode where the message appears every time I click on page back and have to close the internet connection. Happens only in Firefox. I have reloaded Firefox and it goes away for twenty or thirty minutes, but returns.

hello, please try to reset firefox and see if this can address the issue...

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
