Gmail keeps telling me every time I try to login that my cookie functionality is turned off. I proceed to turn it on. Gmail still says it's turned off

Additionally, every time I try to click on a link in a search browser, be it Google, Yahoo, etc., it won't actually go to the page. It will direct me to some fake search website like Monster or some other ridiculous thing or direct me to some third party scam website telling me that I have security issues on my computer.

How can I resolve this issue. I've tried everything suggested on Firefox forums and it still persists.
