I am tired of Adobe Flash constantly crashing on me using the latest versions of Firefox and Flash. I have tried updating both Firefox and Flash to the latest versions. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration. I have uninstalled Realplayer. NONE OF THESE RECOMMENDED SOLUTIONS have helped. This is making Firefox unusable for me. I am having to use Chrome now. Help me.

Flash can be a pain, no doubt.

If you haven't already, disable the Flash Player's protected mode as described in this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

If you continue to have crashes, could you post a few crash IDs for analysis? This article describes how to find them in Firefox: Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly).

Hi savandarm, you may need to disable some advanced features to get Flash to work correctly.

(1) Hardware acceleration (triggers graphics card driver incompatibilities)

(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here (this takes effect after you restart Firefox):

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

(B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

(2) Protected mode feature (spawns multiple external Flash processes)

The following pages provide different ways to disable the feature:

Any improvement?

I'm fed up too! I used to really like Firefox but this sucks. I am going back to IE. I have tried all of the suggestions and it keeps happening. Really bad when I am trying to conduct business. There is a problem and Firefox doesen't seem to care. Just suggest this and that.........

Hi bfirecap, I do care, but you have ignored my request for further information from you, and after all, this is someone else's thread with now 3 different people posting about different systems.

To get some 1-on-1 personal attention, you should start a new question. You can start a new question at the following link. Scroll down past the suggestions to continue with the form (I think it has 3 different screens). https://support.mozilla.org/questions/new/desktop/fix-problems

Please include the crash IDs I requested. When Firefox crashes, it usually records information about what was happening at that moment. You can submit that data to Mozilla and share it with forum volunteers to see whether it points to the solution. Please check the support article "Firefox Crashes" (especially the last section) for steps to get those crash IDs, and then post some of those in your new question for reference.

Or... enjoy IE. The latest versions are radically improved over the bad old days.

THIS WORKED FOR ME !!!!!

STOP ADOBE FLASH ACCELERATOR built in with program and....keep your fingers crossed!!! This should actually be the FIRST THING TO DO rather then all the various complicated solutions offered my many!

If doesn't work.... get a cold beer and cool off your pissed off mood like I did! Good luck!

FORUM: Take note of this SOLUTION and suggested to all involved with this nonsense! Thanks
