issues selecting a bookmark folder when adding a new bookmark
I have more than 2000 bookmarks, and I have a hierarchy of folders to keep them organized. My issue is when I need to add a new website to my bookmarks.
How to reproduce:
- add a new bookmark (using CTRL+D shortcut), the small UI element letting me type a name, select folder and add tags appears,
- click the right hand-side arrow to expand the folders structure.
- scroll to select the suited folder. There, I am not able to smoothly scroll on the list of folders: Scroll begins but past a few folders, only the scrollbar keeps moving, but the folders list is not refreshed anymore. I need to wait 1-2 sec and click on a random folder to resume the scrolling.
This prevents me to conveniently manage my bookmarks, hence my knowledge....

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can also check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Thanks.
I have just tried, this does not solve my issue though.
Scrolling was first smooth in save mode, when all folders where colapsed. After opening a few of them and some subfolders, the issue did show up again.
