Need help with a weird freezing issue in FF.

more options

I'm having some issues with FF freezing when I load certain web pages, namely Google (though there have been others). I've tried clearing the cache, cookies, and history which seemed to work yesterday, but the problem has resurfaced today. When a page loads, and the "freeze" happens, I am still able to scroll up and down the page, however, I am unable to click on links, or to change between tabs, or interact with the browser in any way (other than the scrolling). I can still minimize and exit the browser just fine, even getting the message about closing multiple tabs. Restarting doesn't trigger any updates, nor does it fix the problem.

Thanks in advance

It looks like your running last version of Firefox.

  1. Go to the Firefox tab
  2. and then help
  3. About Firefox
Sometimes that will trigger an update.

I had been facing the same problem few months back. But it only used to happen at the time a large website was opened. What I did re-installed the browser, and now it works absolutely fine. Try re-installing .

It seems like triggering that update worked... Hopefully it continues to work. Thanks for the help.

So, I spoke too soon. It happened again when I got the email saying that you had replied theanon1. I uninstalled and reinstalled. We'll see if that works.
