If I clear the cache (Range = Evrything), it's fine, but if I also select "Browsing & Download History," Firefox 25.0.1 freezes.

I cannot use Process Explorer OR Windows Task Manager to devote more resources to its operation (give Firefox a higher priority than other running processes) because some rocket scientist @ Mozilla has decided that users should not be allowed access to this level of control. How do I find the physical location of this data so I can edit/delete it MYSELF (since Mozilla won't allow me to do it via the interface that's SUPPOSED to do it)? This data is not located in the same profile directory that contains the cache. The data is not ANYWHERE in C:\Users\<PROFILE_NAME>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\.

If you open the task manager before the use of Firefox, you can lower the Firefox priority. I recommend leaving it set to Normal.'

Freezing of Firefox is normal when clearing items. This freezing will be most noticeable if there are many items to clear.

If none of this helps, you can download CCleaner for free. You can then clear the Firefox data by running the cleaning tool.

Please report back soon.
