After update to 26.0, my two favorite add-ons had their icon[s] removed from toolbar area.

Web Developer 1.2.5 - this had a complete toolbar, positioned just below the bookmark toolbar. It is now gone. I removed/re-installed, still no toolbar. Then when my laptop updated to 26.0 the toolbar disappeared on that machine as well. This indicates to me it is a direct result of the upgrade and not a machine-specific issue.

Perl Crescent Page Saver Basic 2.8 - this add-on puts a little camera icon up next to the home icon, you click to save a screenshot of the current page. The icon is gone, I can't get it back, and again the issue repeated on a 2nd machine after upgrade to 26.0

Troubleshooting info is from 2nd machine (laptop)

Whether its installed and showing in Addons?

Firefox Menu > View > Toolbars > Select the toolbar you need.

or Click Customize and drag and drop the icon in the menu bar

Update - I removed the three plug-ins I use that add to toolbar: Firebug, SS Basic, and Web Developer. ( previously was left with just Firebug icon showing, of the three )

Re-install: got Web Developer toolbar back ( and drop-down-menu options ), now no Firebug icon or SS Basic icon.

There's something with the toolbar in 26.0 that is only allowing one add-on at a time to have toolbar icon[s].

How to downgrade to previous version of FF?

You can drag and drop it to the Menu bar, so it stays in menubar and viewable all the time..

I know but I use Firefox because of plugins and this issue makes using Firebug/WebDeveloper/Screenshot impossible. Their features are only completely accessible through their toolbar icons.

I would destroy/re-install Firefox if I thought that would fix, but this has happened on TWO separate PCs after upgrade to 26.0 - so I know is a release issue not a machine issue.

( for all I know, is intended as Firefox now has their own "Web Developer" in menu - if it IS intended, I will be switching away from Firefox as such behavior is deplorable )

I removed my profile from appdata/roaming and started firefox, got firstrun.

I added the three add-ons. Firebug and Page Saver icons showed up, no Web Developer toolbar.

I switched back to old profile - after numerous add/remove add-ons I've got Firebug and Web Developer, no Page Saver. At least I can debug, but no screenshots.

I can't begin to voice my annoyance...

Hello,

i use Firefox 30 and i have the same problem : i am not able to put firebug icon on the toolbar and i do not even know how to open it.

However Firebug is installed, i see it amoung the plugins. But in the window, where we can drag and drop icons (research, etc) to add to toolbar, there is no any installed plugin available (empty cache, firebug, etc.). What is strange that the empty cache icon has stayed on the personal bar... what a mess !

I will be forced to use another browser if you can not give me some indication how to re-add firebug in the personal bar...

Please help us !
