When I open firefox on my MAC version Maverick (10.9.1) I get the firefox menu bar at the top but the web pages do not load. All I see is my desktop screen. I have tried rebooting, going back with time machine. I cant reset because I cant see the web page in trouble shooting. This has happened once before and I had to start fresh. Trying to avoid this again.

You can try these steps:

Repair the disk permissions:

Remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)
