Any activity that involves selecting a folder causes "Firefox Not Responding" error. So I cannot save an image or change the default download folder. The same issue occurs using Chrome v33 but not Opera v20.0.

I'm using Firefox v28.0 on a Windows 7 64 bit system.

Started happening a couple of days ago. Worked my way through all of the suggestions online, including deactivating plugins.
