This may help you . Let us know if this work .
i know how to get it back but i would lke to know if there is a way to keep it from getting changed? i know i can go the options and general and reset the home page thanks
Tools-->Option-->write www.yahoo.com at the place of "Home Page" .
don't you think i have done that already
You could put that home page setting in a user.js file and see if that makes it stay put. The setting is
- browser.startup.homepage
This page explains about user.js files.
Actually, it would not hurt to see if there is already a user.js file in the profile.
i did that it did not help and then that file kept duplacating itself. i went back to that directory and every time i opened fire fox it made a new entry. i did not want that duplicated hundreds of times or i undid the change and now i don't get the duplications. thanks
before i had to reformat my hard drive i had either a plugin or addon that made the home page lock into place. but now i can't find that plugin or addon. anyone happen to know what that was? thanks
To what page does the home page get changed?
You can do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
