When doing a complete restore of my computer, how do I get my Thunderbird emails, address book from Carbonite?

I had my entire system backed up on Carbonite. I am assuming all my old emails and address book are in that back-up...somewhere. I installed Thunderbird while Carbonite was restoring my hard drive. Now I can't seem to get it to accept even my email address let find my address book and emails from before the restore.

I can only assume carbonite uses the same structure as your hard disk see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird#Mac_OS_X
