Everytime I try to open a picture in a new tab it asks me where to save, which is weird, since it didn't ask that before. How do I fix this?

Recently when I try to open certain pictures in new tab, it asks me where to save, or to open with what. How do I stop this, it used to just open in new tab without asking anything?

You can rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
