I'm trying to check my plugins to see if they are up to date. The blue circle spins and spins, but nothing ever happens. I've tried turning off my security software - no change. I tried rebooting - no change. Any ideas?

I click check to see if plugin are up to date in Thunderbird and a Firefox window opens with the status of the plugins.

At what point is your failing? do you have Firefox installed? I see lots of complaints about things Thunderbird that involve passing links to Chrome.

Yes, I have firebird installed. I go to Tools, Add-ons, then click on "check to see if your add-ons are up to date". Then an IE window comes up with a Mozilla page. In the "plugin status" area there is a line "Checking with Mozilla on the status of your plugins Loading Data", with a blue circle spinning, that never stops.
