I have deleted more than have of my messages, compacted the files, emptied the trash and stilll get the free up disk space message and am unable to download my messages.

What is the exact error message? Is this an error from Thunderbird or from the server?

there is no enough disk space to download email in thunderbird in Ubuntu but I am having more than 200GB space This error is coming from Thunderbird.

Thanks for your response this problem is occured becasue Inbox folder is full with 4 GB after comacting I am able to receive mail.

I am having one question why there is limitation of Folder size in TB.

There isn't a fix 4 GB limit. However, it's best practice not to let grow mail folders indefinitely. The 'not enough disk space' error can also be an indication of mail folder corruption. So make sure you always have a recent backup of your Thunderbird profile folder.
